We rent TENS machines for free! We do this through our baby store Best For Baby. You’ll need to book ahead on 090 6634149 to guarantee a machine. You will just need to buy your own TENS pads for €9.99 as for hygiene reasons these cannot be shared.

Here at Hynes Pharmacy we are happy to blister pack your medicines. Medications can be packed into weekly or monthly disposable cassettes depending on what suits you best. We offer this service free of charge but do ask for 24 hours notice so that we can have them ready for you when you call.
We offer in store blood pressure testing. Just call in and ask one of our team who will point you to our consultation room where one of our pharmacists will perform the test. We will then advise you on what to do depending on the result. We do not charge for this service.
We offer cholesterol screening in-store. This service must be booked by phoning the pharmacy. This is meant as a screening service and is not intended to replace your regular blood test with your GP. The result will be available during your visit and explained in easy-to-understand language. If the results show any cause for concern, we will advise you to see your doctor. This service is free for patients who attend our pharmacy.
By appointment we are available to offer a diabetes screening service free of charge. We do this as we are concerned by the level of undiagnosed type 2 diabetes in Ireland. For an appointment please phone us on 090 6634147.
We provide both types of Emergency Hormonal Contraception without a prescription. It is very important that either one is taken as soon as possible following sexual intercourse. We provide emergency contraception consultations in a discreet, sensitive manner in a confidential setting. Please see your Pharmacist immediately if you are concerned. This service is free to medical card holders. Patients without a medical card only pay for the tablet. There is no charge for the consultation
We provide the Flu Vaccine from September each year. Appointments are by phone, made on a first come first served basis and are reliant on the availability of the flu Vaccine. Many people are entitled to a free flu jab and you will be advised if this is the case.
